PURPOSE:To prevent a seat from unexpected rotation in the operation of a seat rotating switch during running or the like by providing a controlling section for controlling the rotational movement of the seat in the detection of opened door and movements other than the rotational one of the seat in the detection of closed door. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 3 under the running condition of a vehicle causes the adjustment condition of an indicating section 12 to be indicated on the basis of the output of a door opening-closing detecting switch 1 when the door is closed. Here the forward advance area 13a or the backward advance area 13b of an operating switch 11 is operatively depressed to select a control mode through a cursor 16. Then, each of motors 5-1-5-4 or a pump 6 are controllably driven according to the selected mode to displace the seat. On the other hand, when the closing of door is not detected, only 'turn' is indicated on the indicating section 12, and a message telling that the seat can be rotated only when the seat is directed in the direction of a steering wheel is announced from a speaker 9.
