PURPOSE:To prevent color slippage when color difference signal is duplicated again at the time of reproduction after dubbing by switching a line sequential switch to a original color difference signal side based on the existence or absence of the vertical correlation of the duplicated color difference signal. CONSTITUTION:A vertical correlation detector 30 detects the existence or absence of the vertical correlation about the color difference signal B-Y out of the two kinds of duplicated color difference signals R-Y and B-Y. A pulse generator 40 controls the line sequential switch 6 with the aid of an output pulse P. When the vertical correlation detector 30 outputs that the vertical correlation does not exists, the pulse P outputted by the pulse generator 40 switches the line sequential switch to the B-Y side. Therefore as a line sequential color difference signal formed by the original signal is outputted by the switch 6 and the dubbing is executed by this signal, the color aberration does not occur even when the color difference signal is duplicated again at the time of the reproduction after the dubbing.
