PURPOSE:To shorten a data collection time by executing the sampling of a picture signal in respective line scan in the different n/k-pcs. points on respective scan lines, preventing the points where sampling is executed from duplicating and extracting data for one screen by means of k-times frame scanning. CONSTITUTION:For executing n-times sampling on respective scan lines, m-times sampling is executed from the left end to m-pcs. (m=n/k, k: integer more than 2) sampling points of respective scanning lines in a first frame. If m-times sam pling completes from the left end with respect to the least significant scanning line, sampling shifts to a second frame. M-times sampling is executed from the sampling point of (m+1)th from the left end to the 2mth sampling point. Thus, sampling point on respective scan lines shift right at every m-pcs. when ever frame scanning is executed in a third frame and a fourth frame. Sampling of data for one screen is set to terminate by k-times frame scanning, whereby time required for extracting data can be shortened.
