PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an RFID tag and an RFID tag system that can control the on/off state of power supply to a display unit by only performing communication with a small amount of data regardless of the amount of information a display body can display, and thus that are small in manufacturing costs by an amount corresponding to the smallness of the capacity of a storage unit in a communication controller.SOLUTION: When a communication controller 8 changes its mode from a standby mode to a communication mode on receiving an operation command with a small amount of data including a flag storage instruction from a reader/writer 3, the communication controller outputs an activation signal to a control unit 11 to cause the control unit 11 to change its mode from a sleep mode to a control mode. In the state of being switched to the control mode, the control unit 11 determines whether or not a storage unit 19 of the communication controller 8 has stored the flag included in the operation command, and switches power supply to a display unit U from an off state to an on state if the flag is stored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
