PURPOSE:To simplify a circuitry along with a higher reliability, by driving hands to display time utilizing a quick feed action with a data switching circuit for switching addition functions. CONSTITUTION:A data switching circuit 67 receives inputs of information signals of a second counter 61 and a function counter while one information signal thereof is outputted as selection information signal Dc. A hand position counter 60 stores a hand position information signal Dnp. A hand position switching circuit 70 is provided with a coincidence detection circuit 68 to detect coincidence between the hand position information Dnp of the hand position counter 60 and the selection information signal Dc from the data switching circuit 67 and an AND gate 69 to control the passage of a quick feed signal Pc1 by a coincidence signal Sc from the coincidence detection circuit 68. Then, all hands operations containing a second display are controlled with the quick action of hands by the hand position switching circuit 70. Thus, a driving waveform of a pulse motor is only confined to a quick feed signal thereby achieving a higher reliability and a multifunctioning of a timepiece with the stabilization of the driving signal of the pulse motor.
