摘要 PURPOSE:To efficiently mount a memory cell on a prescribed package, by arranging 2 memory cells for information in one direction and 2 memory cells for information in another direction adjacently to a current block by moving a part of memory cell of each block divided in either direction. CONSTITUTION:When the memory cell for information recording is mounted, for example, on a dual in-line package, a device is constituted so that a memory of 2<m+n> bits can be obtained by arranging (p) [pnot equal to 2<n>: (n) is a natural number] memory cells and (q) [qnot equal to 2<m>: (m) is the natural number] memory cells. In other words, in a conventional DRAM of 4M bits, cells are arranged in a matrix of 2<11>=2,048 in a row direction and 2<11>=2,048 cells in a column direction. The blocks 1-8 that is 1/5 of 2,048 cells in the column direction are arranged adjacently to the current block by moving them to another blocks in the row direction. In such a way, by moving the cells in a direction of short side that is a more strict direction than that in the mounting on a package, to a direction of long side,it is possible to improve mounting density by making use of the mount area of the package effectively.
