PURPOSE:To directly allocate a merchandise image having an arbitrary inclination by camera-inputting the merchandise image corresponding to the square block allocated by having an arbitrary size and inclination in displayed layout data. CONSTITUTION:A photograph original mounted rotatably from a pattern image pick-up means 11 is image-picked-up by an arbitrary scale factor, the necessary part image of the image-picked-up photograph original is allocated and displayed into the pattern frame displayed by a pattern frame displaying means 13 with an allocating displaying control means 8a, a transferring means 8 transfers the necessary part image information of the photograph original displayed at the pattern frame displaying means 13 with the allocating displaying control means 8a to a layout drawing means 2a and allocates and displays it to the square block of an indicator 5. Thus, since by the simple operation to instruct the square type in catalogue layout data drawn by the indicator, the pattern fetching frame corresponding to the instructed square type can be displayed as a guide at a TV monitor provided near the image pick-up means, the catalogue editing can be efficiently executed.
