PURPOSE:To aim at making improvements in quick-responsiveness of thruster setting work and its profitability by installing a guide device for a sling of the thruster in a ship structural body, and performing this thruster setting work with operation of a hoist, in the case of a self-propellable type marine structure or the like. CONSTITUTION:Each holding wire 3 for a sling jig 5 is passed through each of guide pipes 17 and connected to each thruster 14, while a sling T1 of the sling jig 5 is connected to a cargo hole 21 of a starboard crane 15 via respective guide sheaves S1-S3 and furthermore another slig T2 to the thruster 14 and a cargo hole 22 of a port crane 16, respectively. Next, the thruster 14 is released from a floating structure 11 in a state of tensing the sling T1, then it is slung down up to requisite depth H. Afterward, the thruster 14 is drawn out of a lower part of the floating structure 11 by the crane 16, jumping up a frame 20 and avoiding it, and the thruster 14 is slung up on the water surface and loaded on a barge 30. Thus improvements in operability, quick responsiveness and profitability for thruster setting work are well promotable.
