<p>The gas turbine engine has a stationary housing with inlet and outlet openings for air. It has a rotary compressor, combustion chambers with nozzle tubes and rotary, supported turbine. The turbine has a housing (1) of circular cross-section with inlet (2) and outlet (3). Housing contains a two stage compressor (4) with L.P. section (5) and H.P. section (6). Each compressor part has fixed blade rings (7) and rotary blade rings (8) fixed to central hub (9). Behind compressor (4) in housing (1) are a number of combustion chambers (10). Outlet apertures (11) are connected to one of a group of nozzle tubes (12) fixed in the housing. Turbine group consists of two stages e.g. impulse and expansion stage, to which outlet opening (3) is connected.</p> |
