PURPOSE:To certainly detect Flesnel reflected light, in the title tester for measuring the loss of a fiber to be measured and searching the breaking point thereof, by providing a peak detection part detecting the peak value at every measuring point of the aforementioned fiber. CONSTITUTION:A peak detection part 11 for detecting the peak value of the AMP output signal obtained by the amplification due to an amplifier 5 during each sampling cycle at every measuring point of a fiber 9 to be measured is provided to the title tester. When a light pulse is emitted to the fiber 9 from a light emitting part 2, a light receiving part 4 receives the back scattering light reflected from the fiber 9 and Flesnel reflected light to amplify them by the amplifier 5. The peak value during the sampling cycle of an A/D converter 6 at every measuring point of the fiber 9 is detected on the basis of the AMP output signal of the amplifier 5 by the detection part 11 to be sent out to the converter 6 which in turn samples said peak value at a predetermined sampling cycle to perform waveform processing and displays the same on a display part 8. |
