PURPOSE:To improve sensitivity and color developing property of a silver halide color photographic sensitive material by using an oleophilic polymer coupler obtd. by a polymn. reaction carried out in the presence of a chain transfer agent contg. an -SH group, and transforming the chain transfer agent remaining after the completion of the polymn. reaction to a compd. contg. no -SH group. CONSTITUTION:An oleophilic polymer coupler by a polymn. reaction carried out in the presence of a 8C chain transfer agent contg. an -SH group is used, and the chain transfer agent remaining after the completion of the polymn. reaction is transformed to a compd. contg. no -SH group by adding freshly an ethylenic unsatd. compd. and carrying out a polymn. reaction again. Said ethylenic unsatd. compd. to be added freshly is a compd. which forms a water- soluble homopolymer. By this method, a photographic sensitive material having improved sensitivity and color developing property is obtd. |
