PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of an actuator caused by a lateral force and miniaturized and lower the rigidity of the actuator by making the lateral force applied to a watt-link mechanism and absorbed by same when the lateral force is applied to a rear wheel steering rod. CONSTITUTION:The force F3 applied to an actuator 40 is indicated by F3=F1 sin theta + F2 sin theta 2 (F1, F2 are lateral forces applied to rear wheel steering rods 10, 10). In this case, since the angles theta 1, theta 2 are small, the force F3 is also small without affecting the actuator 40. Also, the forces in the horizontal direction of the lateral forces F1, F2 are absorbed by a watt-like mechanism 38 and transmitted via a linking link 16 and through an upper arm 22 and a lower arm 30 to a vehicle body side to be absorbed thereby. Hence, since the lateral forces F1, F2 are applied to the watt-link mechanism 38 and absorbed thereby, the lateral forces F1, F2 will not be applied to the actuator 40. |
