PURPOSE:To freely change the size of ink drops for allowing areal gradation recording and high speed recording by changing the size of ink spouting nozzles by an ink spouting controller. CONSTITUTION:When a voltage is applied on electrodes 24a and 24b, protrusions 25p and 25q of a slider 25 are attracted by electrostatic attraction force which works on the electrodes 24a and 24b, and reach an stable state. At this time, an opening 21a of a substrate 21 is laid on an ink spout 25a of the slider 25, ink 31 is atomized into ink drops 32 with a size determined by the ink spout 25a and spouted, so that dot recording can be carried out. Similarly, when a voltage is applied on electrodes 24a and 24d, the ink 31 is atomized into the ink drops 32 with a size determined by an ink spout 25b and spouted. Then, the slider 25 is moved in sequence so as to selectively discharged the ink drops with different sizes, that allows areal gradation printing and high speed printing as the shapes and sizes of the ink drops can be freely changed. |
