The present invention concerns a lock or catch mechanism intended, in the catch position, to hold together two objects, such as a box 1 and its cover 2, comprising an essentially U-shaped cover latch or locking hook 3 which is both articulated on and laterally displaceably mounted on one object 1, and which can be dropped from an open position to a closed position where the cover latch 3 bears, with two opposite legs, against the respective object's locking flanks directed away from each other, as a result of which the object is held together. The invention also concerns a catch function which is achieved by lateral displacement of the cover catch 3 and which prevents the latter from being inadvertently returned to the open position. <IMAGE> |
