The apparatus finds out the objects like the stolen vehicles or lost children with the chirp signal which frequency is periodically varied. The chirp signal generated at the central station is received at the receiver installed at the objects. The the transmitter combined to the receiver transmits the received chirp signal adjusted its gain automatically to the central station. The central station calculates the distance by using the time difference between the transmitted and reflected chirp signal so that the object position is found out.
