A process is proposed for the separation of the bentonite and carbon carrier particles from the dust obtained mechanically during used sand reclamation, in which the dust collected in a cyclone in a first phase is removed from the cyclone and is subsequently dried in a drier, the dried dust being conveyed in a second phase to a sifter.
