PURPOSE: To obtain an immunogenic complex capable of effectively inducing immunity to Bordetella pertussis.£Protective immune response, immune stimulating agent, excipient, adjuvant. CONSTITUTION: This invention relates to a non-toxic oligosaccharide induced from Bordetella pertussis lipooligosaccharide, a complex consisting of the oligosaccharide bonded to a carrier protein such as fibrous hemagglutinin of Bordetella pertussis, a formulated vaccine containing the complex and a method for inducing immune response to Bordetella pertussis by administering a warm- blooded animal with the complex together with a pharmacologically permissible excipient.
