<p>PURPOSE:To increase the number of articles to be handled and keep cycle time short in a picking system consisting of a picking device and an automated warehouse. CONSTITUTION:Loads placed on a storage pallet 3 stored in racks 9, 10 are classified according to the frequency of needs, and five upper articles are delivered always placed on storing-out stations 13h-1. According to the needs, the five upper articles are supplied to a picking device 1 from the storing-out stations 13h-1 in a short, time, and the other articles are from shelves in the racks 8, 10 at every time of need by a stacker crane 8, and supplied from delivery stations 11a-11e. It takes lone time to supply the article to the picking device 1 from the shelve, however, there is low frequency of needs. It is thus possible to handle a number of articles without significant influence on cycle time.</p> |
