Provided is a material that enables a battery, which contains zinc metal or a zinc compound as a negative electrode active material, to have a longer service life. The present invention is an anion conducting membrane which is formed using an anion conducting membrane-forming material, and wherein: the anion conducting membrane-forming material contains a conjugated diene polymer and/or a (meth)acrylic polymer and a compound containing at least one element selected from among group 1 to group 17 elements of the periodic table; and the ratio of the total area of particles of the compound containing at least one element selected from among group 1 to group 17 elements of the periodic table to the total area of the anion conducting membrane-forming material components other than the compound, namely (compound particles)/(anion conducting membrane-forming material components other than compound) is from 70/30 to 30/70 in a cross-section of the anion conducting membrane. |
