PURPOSE:To provide a composition largely improved in the processability without deteriorating the solvent resistance and the flame resistance by adding an olefinic copolymer to a specific polyarylene sulfide resin. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. of a polyarylene sulfide having repeating units of formula -Ar-S- (Ar is a divalent aromatic residue containing at least one six- membered carbon ring), and 0.25-0.45 pt.wt. of an olefinic copolymer comprising 70-99wt.% of an alpha-olefin and 30-1wt.% of an,-unsaturated acid glycidyl ester to provide a composition having a non-Newtonian index of >=1.05 measured with a die having an L/D of 60/1 (mm/mm) at 300 deg.C. A non-cured polyphenylene sulfide having a mol.wt. of 20000-100000 is preferable as the polyarylene sulfide. A copolymer comprising ethylene and glycidyl methacrylate is employed as the olefinic copolymer. |
