<p>PURPOSE:To prevent hard use of only a specific heat generating register of a thermal head so as to improve the whole life thereof largely by changing position of heat generating resistors of the thermal head for drawing outlines at every release of drawing of N sheets. CONSTITUTION:At a first release of drawing of a thermal plotter, heat generating resistors P1 and P2 of a thermal head 9 are used continuously so as to draw a vertical line of an outline 11. At a second release of drawing, both of the outline 11 and a diagram 12 deviate in the left direction by 1 pitch DELTAx of the heat generating resistor. Therefore, the heat generating resistors of the head 9 for drawing the vertical line of the outline 11 are changed to P3 and P4 and the continuous use of the P1 and P2 are prevented. That is, when the heat generating resistors are to be arranged at a pitch of 16 dots/mm, the outline is drawn by the heat generating resistor of 8 dots if the outline is 0.5mm. If a shift operation is perform at every 1 dot, 32 shift operations make one round of processing when an allowable width is set to 2mm, so that an energizing time is shortened to a 1/4 of a conventional time even with a resistor which heats for the longest time.</p> |
