PURPOSE:To provide a compact drive device for an electric vehicle, which may disposed between right and left wheels of the vehicle, by distributing parts into which a transmission device is divided for both wheels, at a stage in rear of a torque distributing device. CONSTITUTION:A torque distributing device 1 for a drive device is arranged at a stage in front of transmission devices 4, 4', coaxial therewith. Accordingly, the drive torque of a motor 3 is amplified by the rear stage transmission devices 4, 4' after transmission through the torque distributing device 1 so that the transmission torque of the torque distributing device is decreased in order to reduce the strength and rigidity necessary therefore, thereby it is possible to miniaturize the drive device and to make the same lightweight. Further, it is possible to make the motor and the transmission devices compact and to enhance the on-board mountability due to compactness of the drive device. |
