<p>PURPOSE:To provide an electric dust collecting electrode for capturing fine particles in a flowing air by applying high voltage electric field to said air, wherein materials having been electrically captured and collected are adsorbed so as not to be easily removed and the electrode itself functions as a deodorizing filter to remove malodor and harmful gas in the air and the electrode can be made smaller. CONSTITUTION:Particles 3 comprising at least one of activated substances such as active carbon, silica gel, activated alumina, zeolite or catalyst, or such material prepared by adding deodorizing agent to these materials are adhered to the surface of an electrode base material sheet 1 by means of an adhesive layer 2. The sheet 1 is made from such material as aluminum, stainless steel, carbon material, or silicon carbide. The layer 2 is composed of conductive adhesive and this layer has a thickness 1/2 to 1/10 times the average particle size of the activated particles 3 and part of the activated material particles 3 are embedded in the adhesive layer.</p> |
