A cosmetic oleogel suitable for topical application to the human body suface comprises: i) from 5 to 95% by weight of a cosmetically acceptable solvent chosen from polyol fatty acid polyesters, and mixtures thereof, the polyol having at least 3 free hydroxyl groups, at least 60% of which are then esterified with one or more fatty acids having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms; provided that when the polyol fatty acid polyester is derived from a polyol having 3 free hydroxyl groups, then at least one fatty acid with which it is esterified is chosen from alkanoic or alkenoic fatty acids having from 13 to 33 carbon atoms; the polyol fatty acid polyester having an Iodine Value of <180; and ii) from 5 to 70% by weight of a cosmetically acceptable hydrophobic polymer thickener substantially free from cross-l;inking which is soluble in the solvent. t |
