The absorber includes a tubular piece (1) with a bottom (4), welded at the end (5) of the tubular piece,and a connector for joining the absorber to a vehicle structure. Diametrically opposite lateral legs (6) are joined to sectors of the bottom (4) near the edge to form a base structure for the connector. The lateral legs (6) and the piece forming the bottom (4) constitute a case (15), with an axis of a tubular casing (Ai) oriented transverse to the axis of the case. The case (15) is a closed ring and in the direction parallel to the case axis has a roof form. In the direction of the case axis it has a broken arc form.
