PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for allowing a user to log in to an MFP only by moving closer to the MFP.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus for transmitting a log-in request to a device includes: setting means for setting a log-in distance for transmitting a log-in request, to each of a plurality of devices; receiving means for receiving a packet to be transmitted from a device; specifying means which specifies a distance between a transmission-source device having transmitted the packet and the information processing apparatus, on the basis of the packet received by the receiving means; determination means which determines whether the distance specified by the specifying means has satisfied log-in distance condition set for the transmission-source device; and transmission means which transmits a log-in request to the transmission-source device when the determination means determines that the log-in distance condition has been satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
