<p>PURPOSE:To provide sheet carrier guide switching mechanism improving economical effect and reliability with advantages such as simplifying structure and making the opening/closing of a lower carrier guide easy and positive by providing a means for energizing the lower carrier guide automatically in the opening or closing direction by the opening or closing action of the lower carrier guide. CONSTITUTION:At the closed time of a lower carrier guide 15, the lower carrier guide 15 is held in contact with an upper stopper 17 by the energization of a torsion coil spring 16 with its hooks, locked to the hook holes la and 15-1a of a side frame 1 and the lower carrier guide 15, going to be released in the mutually opening direction by elasticity, so that the lower carrier guide 15 is placed parallel to an upper carrier guide 4 with a fixed space in between. At the opened time, the lower carrier guide can be held in contact with a lower stopper 1-2 being energized in the same way by the resiliency of the coil spring 16. Accordingly, there is no need to provide the lower carrier guide 15 with lock mechanism for placing the lower carrier guide 15 opposedly parallel to the upper carrier guide 4 with a fixed space in between. In addition, the opening/closing of the lower carrier guide is facilitated.</p> |
