PURPOSE:To protect a catalyst by preventing the exhaust catalyst from being deteriorated because of the fuel cut disabled state when a pressure sensor is broken, by operation-controlling an opening/closing valve in order to feed the bypass air into an engine, even if the throttle opening degree is at a perfectly closed state when the pressure sensor is in a broken state. CONSTITUTION:As for an engine 2, an intake throttle valve 10 is arranged on a throttle body 8. A fuel injection valve 16 is arranged in the second intake passage 6-2. Further, one edge side of the second bypass passage 32 is connected with a surge tank 12, and the other edge side is connected with the first intake passage 6-1 on the upstream side of the intake throttle valve 10. In this case, a for a control means 50, even if the opening degree of the intake throttle valve 10 is in a perfectly closed state in the case where a pressure sensor 44 arranged in a pressure introducing passage 42 which communicates to the surge tank 12 is in trouble, an air conditioner idle up valve 34 as opening/closing valve arranged in the second bypass passage 28 is operation-controlled. Accordingly, the bypass air is supplied into the engine 2, and the catalyst arranged in an exhaust passage 14 is protected. |
