A recording apparatus consists of a printer fitted in a housing (1). The recording is printed on a continuous strip of paper (P) which is fed to and removed from the recording station by a mechanism installed in a second housing (2).The printer housing (1) is mounted on a platform (3) whilst the paper feed housing (2) is hinged to the printer housing and can be swung open or closed
