The gas display device has two clear and transparent plates (20, 22) of glass or glass-type plastics. They are hermetically sealed together, at the facing surfaces (24, 26), leaving at least one gas-tight hollow zone (30, 32). The hollow zone (30, 32) is a recess worked at the inner surface (24, 26) of at least one plate (20). The electrodes (34) between the inner surfaces (24, 26) of the plates (20, 22) have feed lines.
