PURPOSE:To concretely and strongly appeal service to members by displaying the card member discount amount and total member discount amount of member designated articles on a receipt. CONSTITUTION:A member number is read from a presented member card C by a card handling device 8, and the identity of the card member is confirmed. Next, the article code of the purchased article is inputted to a POS terminal equipment 1 by a key input device 6 and a bar code scanner 7. The POS terminal equipment 1 transfers this article code to a store computer 2. The store computer 2 reads member price information or the like from the inside of an article master file 3 and transfers these data to the POS terminal equipment 1. Then, the equipment 1 calculates the member price by subtracting the total of member discount amounts from the total of standard amounts concerning all the articles. At the same time, a message for members is read out and printed on a receipt 10 together with the member discount amount. |
