<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rear body structure for an automobile, which enables a fuel tank to be surely mounted onto the lower surface of a rear floor panel. CONSTITUTION:The rear section 30 of a rear floor panel 23 for setting a rear seat 31 is formed in such a way as to be raised upward, and concurrently a fuel tank 24 in a shape that its rear section 43 is positioned at a place higher than its front section 44, is mounted along the lower surface of the rear floor panel 23. And a vertical surface section 32 is formed between the rear floor panel 23 and a luggage floor panel 33 in rear of the rear floor panel, concurrently a first cross member 37 is disposed at the front side of the rear floor panel 23, a second cross member 38 is also interposed between a fuel tank 24 at the vertical surface section 32 and a spare tire 34, and a suspension members 19 is concurrently disposed on the lower side of the fuel tank 24.</p> |
