PURPOSE: To especially eliminate the need for external conduits for connection by improving a heat exchanger which is used as oil cooler for cooling oil of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION: An oil cooler to be installed on an engine block of an internal combustion engine is provided with a housing 32 which has a base 64 and filter mounting surfaces 68 and 82 at positions being separated from the base, and a pair of coolant ports 96 and 98 formed being respectively separated from the base. It also has an oil inlet port 72 which is housed in the housing and formed in the base, a heat exchange stack 34 having oil outlet ports 76 formed in the filter mounting surfaces, and a passage 30 extended through the housing to the filter mounting surfaces from the base. |
