PURPOSE:To suppress removal and damage while preventing a wandering and a deflecting abrasion. CONSTITUTION:While a tread 1 is divided into shoulder ribs 3 at the outermost sides and at least one line of center rib 4 positioning between them, by at least two lines of main grooves 2 extending almost in the circumferential direction of a tire T, small auxiliary grooves 5 extending almost parallel to the main grooves 2 are formed to the shoulder ribs 3, so as to compose this pneumatic radial tire for heavy load. The auxiliary groove 5 is formed extending in the circumferential direction in a zigzag form by continuing with an outer groove 5A, an inner groove 5B, and a communicating groove 5C, and the groove depth h1 of the outer groove 5A is formed smaller than the groove depth h2 of the inner groove 5B. The auxiliary groove 5 consists of the outer groove 5A and the inner groove 5B extending intermittently in the circumferential direction of the tire T, and the outer groove 5A and the inner groove 5B at the opposite side are formed overlapping in the circumferential direction to the intermittent parts in the circumferential direction. |
