<p>PURPOSE:To realize the improvement of the convergence performance at the middle speed or more, holding the characteristic of a power steering device which permits the light handle steering in comparison with the case of manual steering. CONSTITUTION:A controller for a power steering device is equipped with a car speed judgement part 13, torque judgement part 14, turning-back judgement part 15, timer 17 for measuring the time when a steering wheel passes through a neutral point, hand release judgement part 18 which judges if a hand is released from the steering wheel, on the basis of the result of the judgement of the torque judging part and the result of the measurement of the timer, and a calculation part 16 for determining the electric current application direction to an electric motor for executing power assistance for the steering wheel, and when the hand released state of the steering wheel is judged, convergence performance control is carried out.</p> |
