The device compensates the time axis error which is generated by head and disk rotation speed. The device includes the A/D converter (31) which converts the image signal into digital signal, the 1st and 2nd horizontal period memories (34)(35), the 1st horizontal period FIFO memory (37), the time axis compensator (36) which controls the timing, the oscillator (32), the time axis error detector (38) which decides the quantity of time axis error, the 1st horizontal period memory (41) which memorizes the image data, the 1st fierd memory controller (40) which outputs the memory control key, the memory controller (42), and the A/D converter (43).
