摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To secure sufficient heat-resisting strength and wear resistance as reducing the weight of a piston by manufacturing a contact surface of a piston for a brake cylinder with a brake pad and its sliding surface with the brake cylinder both with a ferreous material, but a pressure receiving part of the piston with a plastic material, respectively. CONSTITUTION:When hydraulic pressure is produced in a hydraulic chamber 6 and thereby a piston is pushed out, a brake disk 5 is pinchedly pressed from both sides with a brake pad 4 at the side of this piston 2 and another brake pad 4 at the side of a caliper body 1, thereby braking a wheel rotation. The piston 2 in this disk brake like that is made up of a first member 8 made of a ferreous material of carbon steel or the like equipped with a sliding part 2d to be slidingly contact with a brake cylinder 7 and a second member 9 made of a plastic material of pjenol resin or the like equipped with a pressure receiving part 2c receiving the hydraulic pressure of brake oil. In addition, a projection 11 formed in the second member 9 is fitted in a recess 10 of the first member 8, whereby both these members 8 and 9 are integrally connected to each other.</p>
