<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrocarbon oil by heating a waste styrenic is resin under a reduced pressure in the presence of volcanic ejecta, iron sand, or Ti to a specified temp. and cooling the resulting vapor to condense it. CONSTITUTION:A waste styrenic resin is liquefied by heating the resin under a reduced pressure in the presence of a volcanic ejecta (e.g. volcanic ashes), iron sand, or Ti to 120-400 deg.C and cooling the resulting vapor to condense it. The figure shows a continuous liquefaction apparatus, which comprises a waste styrenic resin supply port 1, a styrenic resin hopper (a resin softening section) 2, a styrenic resin reservoir 3, a continuous feed valve 4, a styrenic resin decomposition oven 5, a heater 6, a filler 7 such as volcanic ejecta, a drain port 8, a generated vapor cooler 9, a condensate receptacle 10, a pressure-reducing apparatus (an aspirator) 11, and a tray 12. A yellow liq. as a fuel equivalent to kerosene, is obtd. by continuously thermally decomposing the resin while keeping the temps. of the styrenic resin softening section 2, the reservoir 3, and the thermal decomposition oven 5 at about 190 deg.C, about 220 deg.C, and about 250 deg.C, respectively.</p> |
