The envelope is made from a sheet of plastics material folded through 180 degrees to obtain a lower bend (1) delimiting two sides. The first side (2) is longer than the second side (3). The two sides are welded together on their lateral edges to form a sachet. A first opening edge (4), continued by a detachable tab (6), has an adhesive sheet (9). The edge is set back a distance (d) from the second edge (5) and the envelope has a folding line (11) located at a distance (d) from the lower edge of the adhesive. After folding, the adhesive sticks on an initially internal part of the side (3), then on the external face of the edge (3). The folded part of the second edge has a part (13) of the internal face not covered by the folded part of the first edge.
