<p>PURPOSE:To provide a toner for MICR suitable for magnetic power, stable in magnetic strength, hardly probable in peeling of a toner image even in the case of repeating abrasions with a magnetic head at the time of reading magnetic records, small in deterioration of image quality and staining of images and the magnetic head, and practically low enough in reading errors. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic toner is used for forming the MICR image and it comprises a single component composed of a magnetic material and a binder resin and 2 to 20 weight % polyolefin, and it has 4.0 to 7.emu/g residual magnetization and a volume average particle diameter D50 of 5 to 15mum, and its particle diameter distribution satisfies the following conditions: (1) the toner particles having a diameter of >=D50X1.3 are <=20 volume % and (2) those having a diameter of <= D50X0.5 are <=20 number %.</p> |
