<p>PURPOSE:To provide a developing method by two-component developers by which full-color copied images having high image quality, high density and high fineness are obtainable. CONSTITUTION:(1) Carriers in the jumping/brush developing method of executing development with developers contg. at least toners and carriers by a contact system on a latent image carrying member 3 under impression of AC electric fields are resin coated carriers coated with a resin having specific resistance of >=10<13>OMEGAcm under conditions of 23 deg.C and 50% RH. The average grain size of the carriers is <=100mum and the specific resistance of the carriers is >=10<12>OMEGAcm. The carrier particles of >=90% in the resin coating rate of the surfaces of the carrier core material occupy 80 number % over the entire part of the carriers. The intensity of the magnetization at 1 kiloersted of the carriers is <=150emu/cm<3>. (2) The voltage (Vpp) between the peaks of the AC electric fields as developing conditions is >=1500V, fogging removal voltage (V back) is <=100V and the developing nip C at the developing poles is >=3mm.</p> |
