TONER FOR DEVELOPING ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE IMAGE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To improve the dispersibility of a colorant in a toner and to obtain a toner having improved electrostatic chargeability. CONSTITUTION:In this toner contg. at least a releasing agent and a grafted colorant and/or magnetic powder, the grafted colorant and/or magnetic powder has been grafted with the releasing agent as a medium. In the grafting process, a colorant and/or magnetic powder is treated with 1-100 pts.wt. polymerizable monomer basing on 100 pts.wt. of the colorant and/or magnetic powder. The polymerizable monomer and/or org. solvent content of the toner is <=500ppm.
