PURPOSE:To provide a method for simply measuring a pitch accuracy, etc., of pockets of a retainer in a short time. CONSTITUTION:A measuring element 3 is inserted into a pocket 2 of a retainer 1. The retainer 1 is rotated forward and backward to bring the measuring element 3 in touch with both side faces 2a and 2b of the pocket 2. A central position of the pocket 2 is obtained from rotating angles of the retainer 1 when tone element 3 is in touch with the side faces. The operation is repeated, thereby to obtain the central positions of all pockets. A pitch of the pockets is calculated in this manner. |
