PURPOSE:To provide a simple low-cost carbon monoxide sensor having high sensitivity, high reliability and a small size. CONSTITUTION:The constant potential type carbon monoxide sensor comprises a pair of electrodes and solid electrolyte 1 interposed between both the electrodes, wherein proton conductive oxide is used as the electrolyte 1. Further, a CO adsorption material or hydrogen storage material is used as an anode 2. The electromotive force type carbon monoxide sensor comprises CO oxidizing catalyst on the one electrode side provided with solid electrolyte made of barium or cerium oxide. |
