The device comprises a cutting member (4), and a conveyor (2) for feeding the block to the cutting member. The conveyor has a lifting member (6) to move the block above the conveyor for cutting and for holding it in position. The lifting member is movable w.r.t. a frame (1) for contacting the block. The lifting member mobility is safeguarded by its location at a lower level than the conveyor, on which a block should rest. The lifting member location is relative to the frame. |
