A mold for injection blow molding having large hollow parts (1) is surely provided with strength as required by such a mold without depending on ribs which are simple inner remaining parts unstable positionally and dimensionally. A movable core (5) projecting into the cavity (4) of the metallic mold is displaced by pouring molten resin and pressurized fluid under pressure into said cavity (4) so as to form a support part (2) in the original position of said movable core (5). With positions and sizes for the movable core (5) selected, a position and size of a support part (2) to be formed can be determined.
