<p>PURPOSE: To enable a ball to easily hit a sweet spot of an iron head, and also to eliminate resistance of a heel to a lawn surface by forming a groove on a part on which a top line of the iron head intersects a hosel, removing a heel part of a sole toward a back edge, and marking the top line for the center of gravity. CONSTITUTION: A groove 9 is provided on a part 2 on which a top line 4 intersects a hosel 1. A sole 12 is cut from a heel 13 toward a back edge 15. The top line 4 is marked for the center of gravity. The weights of the neck part 2 and the heel part 7 are decreased, and the center of gravity is shifted to the center position 18. Moreover, the contact part with the lawn surface is decreased by the cut 14, and the resistance can be decreased. A carry can be increased by putting the center of gravity on the center part 18.</p> |
