METHOD TO PRODUCE GRANULATED POLYACRYLAMIDE

FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: water solutions of polyacrylamide produced by biochemical method with share of main substance equal to 6 % and more are frozen and granulated. Granules of frozen polyacrylamide are dried by ethyl alcohol or acetone in reactor with operating mixer. Ratio of granules volumes and reactant are equal to 1 : (1.8 - 2). Mixture of reactant with water after granules drying are sent for reactant regeneration. Losses of reactant per one processing cycle do not exceed 10 %. Time period of granules treatment in reactant is 20 m- 25 minutes. Share of main substance in final product achieves 86 - 90 % without loss of its operational properties. EFFECT: decreased cost of production.
