PURPOSE: To obtain a large-screen liquid crystal display device which is devised in the arrangement structure of polarizers and has a high display grade by previously providing a first substrate with the first polarizer and a second substrate with the second polarizer and disposing plural liquid crystal panels in juxtaposition between the first and second polarizers by adhesive parts. CONSTITUTION: Two sheets of the liquid crystal panels 2 of an active matrix type are connected in juxtaposition and are arranged between the reinforcing substrates 3 and 4. The polarizers 5, 6 are respectively arranged between the reinforcing substrates 3, 4 and the liquid crystal panels 2. The liquid crystal panels 2 are connected to each other by adhesives 20 and further, the polarizer 5 is stuck to the CF substrate 9 side and the polarizer 6 to the TFT substrate 10 side by adhesives 10. Since the polarizers 5, 6 are disposed on the substrates in such a manner, the application of an excess pressure on the liquid crystal panels 2 is averted. Even if, therefore, sealing members formed of fine patterns exist within the liquid crystal panels for the purpose of obscuring the connected part, the destruction of the sealing members by application of the local force thereon is averted. |
