<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the sure retention of an IC chip in an IC card main body by a method wherein a sectional portion, which is larger than an exposed surface, is present in a porting locating in the interior of the IC card main body, preventing the IC chip from coming off the IC card main body. SOLUTION: An IC card 1 has a card main body 2 and an IC chip 3 embedded in the card main body 2. On one surface 2a of the card main body 2, a surface 3a, on which the contacts of the IC chip 3 are provided, is exposed. In this case, at some part of the whole periphery of a portion, which locates in the interior of the card main body 2, of the IC chip 3, projected parts 3b are formed. Since the portion locating in the interior of the card main body 2 has a crosssection larger than that of an exposed surface 3a due to the projected parts 3b so as to function the crosssection as an anchor, resulting in preventing the IC chip 3 from falling off the card main body 2.</p> |
